The sensational freshmen out of Idaho, has a PB of 4:26 for 1500m from earlier this month at Oregon Relays. It will be interesting to see how she attacks this race with such an impressive field behind her.
The junior from Sunset HS has the best foot speed in the field. With a 4:30 PB over 1500m from last year, if she can stay close, the race is hers to win.
The Summit HS senior squared off against Halladay a few weeks ago at Oregon Relays where she picked up a PB of 4:28. Expect her to be in the hunt late in the race
The Lake Stevens sophomore has only lost one open race in her first two years, at Brooks PR. With a 4:50 full mile PB she is going to be a tough out.
The sophomore from Jesuit has a 4:32 PB from last year, and she will look to mix it up for a top 3 finish.
South Eugene's stud freshmen has a 4:30 PB from 8th grade. She has had a nice start to her season and will look to improve and hopefully notch a new PB over the mile distance.
NXN's runner-up out of Sunset HS will look to make a splash in the mile. She ran 4:35 for 1500m last year and I am sure she is looking to better that mark.
St. Mary's Academy
The senior from St. Mary's Academy ran 4:35 for 1500m last year, and has had a solid start to the outdoor season. Expect her to hang tough and run close to 4:50 for the full mile distance.
Another talented freshman, this Sunset Apollo turned some heads during the fall with her 5th place finish at the 6A State Meet. She's got a 4:38 PB over 1500m from earlier this spring, so she will be in the mix late.
The junior from Sheldon HS ran 4:39 last spring and has had a great start this spring. She will look for a PB around 4:55 for the full mile.
The standout frosh from Jesuit HS had an impressive XC season notching a 17:41 5K. She has yet to run a quick 1500m, but she is ready to run around 4:55 for the full mile.
The senior from Lynnwood will look to match her PB of 4:55 for 1600m, which came back when she was a sophomore.
Hopping On The Train
Another junior from Sheldon HS, she has run 4:39 for 1500m and should look to better that mark on Friday night.
The Eastlake junior has great foot speed at 57.74a for 400m. She will test her strength against a stacked field.
The senior from Sam Barlow HS is coming off a nice 3K victory at the Centennial Invite last week. She will look to hop on the train and grab a PB for the full mile distance.
A sophomore from OES, she will be one of the lone small school representatives in the elite races this year. She has great foot speed and will look to hang around and use that speed to grab a sub 5 minute clocking.
Lewis and Clark
Fresh off victory at the Pasco Invite in 5:03, the junior should approach 4:55 with more competition on Friday night.
Mt. Si's senior will look to break 5 minutes for the full mile and notch a new PB in the process.
The Eastlake senior will make the trip down south in hopes of matching her 4:59 PB from last spring's WA State Meet.
The Tigard junior has clocked 10.62a earlier this spring and should be in the hunt for a win.
With a 10.61a PB, the Beaverton senior has the top seed and is a clear favorite for a top 3 finish.
The senior out of Rocky Mountain HS ran in the elite race last year. He will look to make a huge improvement from his 7th place finish last year.
Another sprinter out of Rock Mountain HS, the junior has solid credentials having already run 10.71a
Brendan Van Voorhis
The senior from McNary clocked sub 11 seconds last year in the day heat. Expect him to put together another solid performance this year.
Sunset's standout junior has run 10.96a this spring and has put together a consistent season thus far. Expect him to fight for a top 3 finish.
The senior from Oregon City HS ran 11.00a in the day heat last year. He will look to better his 10.89a PB from earlier this spring.
With range all the way up to the 400m distance, the senior out of Bend will test his top speed in a stacked field looking to better his 10.97a PB.
Been Here Before
Mt. Spokane Senior is ready to rock and roll. Expect a high finish.
One of Oregon's finest, could dip under 4:10 if the pace is hot.
West Salem Future Bronco, looking for some redemption from last year. Expect a sub 4:10.
Wilson One of the favorites at 3,000m in Oregon, should be able to more than hold his own at this distance
Missed out on the event last year with injury, looks primed for solid showing after Centennial 3K.
Day Heat Last Year, Bright Lights This Year
One of two sophomores in the field. Dipped under 4:00 for 1500m last year in the day heat. Could dip under 4:15 for the full mile this year.
Wilson Future Idaho Vandal has looked strong all spring. Great foot speed late, could be dangerous off a slow pace.
Camas Ran 8:34 in the 3K last year at Twilight and will look to run a quick mile on Friday.
Jesuit Future CMS Stag, looking for a breakout performance at his bread and butter distance, the mile.
Sunset 3:56 1500m runner from last year, who seems to always get overlooked but make no mistake he will be tough in this field.
Sheldon The man with 1:54 800m credentials will test his strength at the mile distance. Like Seely, could be dangerous off a slow pace.
Central Catholic Another future Idaho Vandal, has great XC credentials. Expect him to turn some heads as he shows off his wheels in a stacked mile field.
Mt. Si sophomore has excellent credentials across the board. Look for him to hop on the train and snag a nice PB
Eastlake junior notched a 4:13 1600m a week ago in Bellevue. Comes in with great momentum and is a darkhorse to win the whole thing.
Senior from WA ran 4:11 a week ago in the same Bellevue race. He clocked 8:54 for 3200m down at Arcadia. If their is a favorite coming into this race, its gotta be James Mwaura.
Senior out of Garfield HS has a best of 4:17 over 1600m. He should be looking for a sub 4:15 clocking over the full mile
Senior from Rocky Mountain HS just clocked a 4:19 full mile at the Pasco Invite. He will look to mix it up with the lead pack and grab another PB somewhere in the neighborhood of 4:15.
Last year's Elite 100m Champ will look to defend her crown against some stiff competition.
Runner-Up a year ago, the Barlow senior will try to improve upon last year and get the win.
The senior from Union HS has great credentials all the way up to 400m. She will test her speed at 100m.
One of the premier 100m hurdlers in Oregon will try her luck at the flat 100m distance.
The junior from Aloha HS beat Lena Colson at their district meet last spring. Expect her to be in the mix for a top 3 finish.
One of two sophomores in the field, the Axeman will be in an outside lane hoping to hang in and snag a PB.
Making the trip from Tahoma HS, the sophomore has been lights out this spring running 24.45aw and 11.86a down at Arcadia earlier this year.
The Grants Pass senior was runner-up at the 6A Oregon State Meet last spring at 100m. Along with Aliya Wilson, she will be the favorite as they hop onto the track looking for a fast clocking at 100m.
